Emilia Nielsen is associate professor in the Health and Society Program, Department of Social Science at York University, Toronto. She is the author of two poetry collections, Body Work and Surge Narrows, and Disrupting Breast Cancer Narratives: Stories of Rage and Repair. Her scholarly work has appeared in journals such as Canadian Literature, Disability Studies Quarterly, and Mosaic.
