Cynthia M. Ellwood is clinical associate professor and director of graduate studies in Educational Policy and Leadership at Marquette University. A lifelong activist, she was a founding editor of Rethinking Schools and was previously a teacher, principal, and regional executive in Milwaukee Public Schools.
