Sayuri Matsuura Ayers is a prose writer and poet from Columbus, Ohio. Ayers’ creative work has appeared on the Poetry Foundation website and in Ninth Letter, Shenandoah, Chestnut Review, and TriQuarterly. She is the author of three poetry collections and one prose collection, including the chapbook-length poem, The Woman, The River, published by Porkbelly Press. She received the OAC’s Individual Excellence Award for poetry and creative nonfiction. She currently teaches poetry and literature at Columbus College of Art and Design.
